Ayurveda: Ayurveda is an ancient and holistic system of health and healing. The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit words Ayu,meaning “life” or “longevity,” and Veda, meaning “knowledge.” Known as the Science of Life, Ayurveda encompasses eight branches, including Rasayana (Rejuvenative), from which I draw practical methods to help you align with the cycles of nature—including your own nature—to nurture luminous health.

Quiet Friday

When: TBD

Schedule: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Quiet Friday is a 90-minute Yin Yoga practice that is ideal for anyone craving a healing, soothing experience. The class will give you tools that you can take with you off the mat and into your daily life.

You can expect a nurturing yin yoga practice, calming breath work, and you will leave with at least one fun fact about how we can use body mechanics to cultivate a sense of calm.

Yin Yoga is a meditative form of yoga that nourishes the energetic and physical bodies and stimulates the flow of Qi. Yin poses are held for several minutes at a time inviting us to go deeper into ourselves. Often described as the other half of exercise, Yin provides a balance to the often hectic energy of today. Meditative, subtle and centering, yin supports balancing the nervous system, strengthening connective tissue, and replenishing energy (Qi).

“I had the privilege of attending Leah's Yin Yoga training this past spring, and was taken by her ability to skillfully disseminate the teachings of yin yoga in a way that was both thoughtful and comprehensive. She is a natural teacher and leader, and I came away from the training with a new understanding of the body, mind and nervous system...I was impressed by her proficiency in and dedication to the practice, as well as her ability to teach and hold space for those who are both new and seasoned meditators. I feel privileged to know Leah. Her work in the community comes from a deep understanding of what it means to be human, and that understanding is palpable to all of those she encounters. She continues to open herself to curiosity, humility and grace - the essential components that make not only a dedicated student, but also a powerful teacher.”
